Prevail Festival Aftermovie
Color and the Machine
An Interactive AI Sound Installation that was commissioned by UWE and Bristol Beacon. It was presented in Bristol Beacon's rebranding event "Prevail Festival", a celebration of creative technologies, immersive art and music, created and curated by fresh talents from the University of the West of England (UWE).
Following the example of the "Piano Stairs" initiative, we created a forced-interaction installation where people's size and clothes color triggers a specific sound. Participants were stimulated to be more active and playful, trying to compose/control sound in real-time, using both their body and the available props (different sized balloons and soft play shapes).
This project emerged from Yearning the Machine, a small scale Interactive Light and Sound Installation, created as a deliverable prototype for our industry partners, Fred Deakin and Rob Armstrong.
